I’m sure by now most of you have noticed that I haven’t been around the blogging world for a few months. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t find it in me to try to write something positive with all the turmoil going on in the world around us. And yes, I DID try. Even going so far as to write about the crazy happenings in the truck stops we frequented.
Anyway … here we are on the first day of a new month in a brand new year and I’ve got to say, I’m feeling pretty good so far. Yes, I know some are you are skeptical of any positivity after everything we went through last year. However, my Momma always told be to go into the new year as you want the rest of it to follow. So, today, I’ve been busy updating all my electronics including the desktop computer that has been packed away since last March. I’ve got the Silhouette updated and working, busy printing and cutting stickers for my planners and journals for the coming year. Not once in the entire day did I get upset or discouraged or irritable or run out of patience. So, I’m claiming a WIN for today and the rest of the year.
Later on this evening, I’ll be eating black-eyed peas, and pork for dinner just to add a little boost to the good I’m claiming for this year. Ya never know how those traditions and superstitions will play out. And NO! I did NOT do any laundry today, LOL! But I did enjoy the rainy day and watched it out the window where I have my little computer cart set up.
NO! I’m not crazy enough to believe there won’t be some bumps along the way and those will be dealt with as they come along. But for once I’m actually looking forward to a new year and excited to see what the universe has in store for us here at Chateau Lesperance. HaHa.
Yeah, about that, currently there is no physical Chateau Lesperance. We are still looking for a place for the two of us, but have a little breathing room and since I’m not in the truck for the winter, it gives me a better chance at being able to actually go look at places instead of trying to do everything from the cab of the BAT. There are a couple places I’m going to call about on Monday and since we have finally gotten a grip on our finances, I’m hoping to be able to find something suitable sooner rather than later.
Yes, I’m back online for now. I’m hoping to write at least a couple times a week. No, I’m not working outside the house, I don’t need to. I LIKE being retired, LOL! But depending on the weather and how my Fibro permits me to mobilize will depend on any activities I want to do.
